To Meet the Mermaids

This work captures the fury of the sea and Poseidon, but with a new dimension: the temptation of the Sirens’ song. To avoid perdition, Odysseus ties himself to the mast of his ship and endures the agony of hearing their voices without succumbing.

Besides the textures that represent the sea’s wrath with explosive bubbles, the piece highlights the central figure of Odysseus, reflecting his torment at the seduction of the deceptive song.
